Clean Hard Water From Kitchen Faucet

Learn how to properly clean your delta faucet including how to remove hard water buildup from your faucet. Spray the water and vinegar solution onto your bronze faucet and give it a minute or two to work its magic before rinsing it away. Put the aerator pieces in vinegar. An hour is better.

So you just have to do your best to do quick clean ups from time to time to prevent dirt and grime particularly in your kitchen sink and faucet. Use a gentle cleaner to remove harder stains. For heavier stains use a wet rag and a gentle cleaner to wipe down the faucet. Sinks and faucets have the tendency to accumulate hard water stains.

If you encounter tough stains or hard water deposits when cleaning your faucets resist the temptation to remove them with a hardcore cleanser. Instead moen recommends using a 50 50 mixture of water and vinegar. Cautiously remove the aerator using pliers. Take apart the aerator.

The trick is to turn the aerator in a clockwise motion when viewed from. For a natural cleaner mix equal parts white vinegar and water and apply it to the faucet. If you re not sure if your fixtures are iron or nickel test some diluted vinegar 1 part vinegar 4 parts water on a very small area apply with a cotton swab and see if the metal rubs off along with the hard water buildup.

Using a rubber glove rubber jar opener for grip or a strap wrench remove the bonnet of the handle by turning it counterclockwise. You need to observe how the parts fit into each other for re assembling. Hard water cannot leave a staining deposit if you get rid of it quickly.
